3 Years Later

Isn't love just the strangest thing?

You spend years with a person finding out every detail of their lives, what they like, what they don't, the bad habits and the good, and yet they can still surprise you. You can have petty arguments that can last anywhere between a minute or a few days, yet in the end you'll forgive one another and work things through. Or it'll all fall apart and that'll be it, a complete stranger once more.

I used to think love didn't exist - I had my reasons. But now, three years on with Adeel I've never been so happy. We've definitely had our fair share of tough times and we've learnt a lot from it, but one of the most important things, I think, is to work out your issues when they rear their ugly head.

Love isn't easy and I know that now, but it's also worth fighting for.

My Week

It's been one of those crazy weeks where I feel like I've hardly had time to breathe. I'm still adjusting to my new role - which is expected - but I am picking it up pretty quickly, which is good.

My problem at the moment is that I really don't understand how people have the time or energy to do anything after work. Once it hits half five all I want to do is go home and sleep! I suppose it's just going to take some time to adjust to full days again. God knows - excluding summer work - I haven't done them since secondary school!

Maybe I'm just lazy or maybe it's just a case of pushing myself to do more - like this week I managed to exercise, see my friend for dinner and go to the hairdressers - instead of slumping in front of the TV almost immediately after arriving at home. But either way, I can't spend my entire life just going to work and coming home to watch TV so something needs to change!

Update

So it's been a while since I last wrote anything. A hectic few weeks turned into a hectic few months instead.

I've finished Uni (graduating next month!), we had two final shows for our Photography exhibition, managed to get myself some work experience and then an internship with a publishing company I could only have dreamed of (!!!!), worked at the restaurant in-between times, and last but not least, I actually got myself a full-time position with the same publishing company! I'M SO EXCITED.

So now I finally have the weekends to myself - except the boyfriend of course - and I can actually stop worrying about ridiculous things so much.

Just a small update as I've been very absent from the blogging world of late. I really hope to start posting a bit more regularly with my weekends and evenings now free!
